I merged your change concerning the MSSQL data type datetimeoffset. It will be available in future snapshots and versions. Excerpt from change log:
As SQuirreL for the time being still supports Java 11, I skipped the changes to the build script. |

This is a trivial fix for #9
Also, the minimum JVM version for the VersionCheck tool is updated to 8 as 1.6 is no longer supported by java 17.
