This seems important after a recent breaking change (docker-library#658), resulted in many confused and frustrated developers (docker-library#681, docker-library/official-images#7474 (comment))

It also occurred to me that perhaps this warning would be more useful and visible in the actual documentation on Docker Hub, so I've added a PR there as well: docker-library/docs#1658 We probably don't need both - but in either case we should probably link one to the other, just so there's some visibility about this wherever someone arrives... (in my opinion) |
