i believe this is called type hinting not typing annotations :) https://docs.python.org/3/library/typing.html you should also mention that this PR handles reformatting with black as well, but that might've been best to be in its own PR |

This pull request is a work in progress of adding type annotations to the project. It still needs more work, but I thought I'd at least get this out there.
